I thought Ben meant actually adding the feature into gtk or qt libraries rather than using them. I am aware that they can co-exist. I imagine my choice of language would depend on what info I can find on the I/O stuff. I don't really have a favourite. I always find myself thinking "this bit would be so much easier in [some other language I'm not using]" no matter what I'm using. The hardest thing I think would be to intercept the keyboard. So I'll try that first. A quick google (ie first relevant link) suggests kernel hacking is needed for this kind of stuff, which is certainly beyond me. http://www.eklhad.net/linux/jupiter/index.html http://www.eklhad.net/linux/adapter-reqs.html Maybe i could just borrow code from jupiter. Or maybe there is another non-kernel way to tackle this. Any suggestions?
