Netscape ran fine on linux - it only ran more slowly on  M$ (fast enough 
for almost everything) because M$ wouldn't let anyone else know about 
the internal methods that they used to make IE faster and more insecure. 
If I remember rightly once most of those 'errors'  were tidied up it ran 
as slow as anything else.
and as for the code psotion: is new to me in css. At least Firefox css 
editor would have shown you that, or at least the lack of effect of it!
