Development desktop. I'm not buying Dell because you can't ask for a
second hard drive, the sales and support is rubbish now it's
abroad. I'd only buy dell for servers and sales droid desktops.

I get on fine with hardware raid stuff :)

I'll be killing it with my own stuff :)
I reckon I need:
AMD64 3GHz (not sure about motherboard)
1 or 1.5 Gb ram (not sure what sort)
2 x 60Gb disks (don't need SCSI speed, but need reasonable speed)
(space for more)
DVD reader/ CD Writer (are there good and bad ones?)
Lots of USB2 on front and back of midi case.
