I tried all variants of driver that i was able to lay my hands on.. none
of them worked.. at least not in a 64bit install of Gentoo.. it was a V3
card if that helps at all..

Card has been returned to store, swapped for a wifi router which looks
like it runs some variant of everyones favorite...
