Hi Tom,
Depending what you call cheap (which is a relative term ;)) I would
highly recommend an Nvidia 5200 based card either 128 or 256Mb starting
around £40 from either www.ebuyer.co.uk or www.aria.co.uk
I have the 256Mb card and it runs Quake 3 and Blood Rayne flawlessly,
the former in Linux without a hitch :)
Maybe the 5200 is a little long in the tooth for hardened gamers but I
think for price/performance it is a cracking card.
