It was a while ago you asked but I have had good sucess with a WinTVR 250 PVR card, just (today) got it running after my debain migration on unstable/2.6.11. The card has a (tv) tuner built in and AV input (camcorders etc). On a side note the guy in PC world assured me "in his extensive computer experience that this card WOULD NOT work in linux", what is wrong with people who think they know a little bit, a simple "i don't know" would of been more helpful.
