Hi Grant,

Mr Google says '/etc/init.d/nfslock start' omitting the rc.d bit. However one site says the userspace NFS won't support locking and the kernel space version needs a kernel that supports it. Not being as expert as the rest of you guys I don't know how true that is, but that's what they say :)
