I suspect a packaging problem. ntpq -p is correct syntax: http://www-uxsup.csx.cam.ac.uk/ntp/docs/ntpq.html Although Gentoo doesn't seem to offer the same binaries. Which ntp packages have you installed (and which might you not have installed?) Also, post the results of ps -ef | grep ntp to make sure we know what exactly is running. Have you looked for Gentoo docs? http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/infrastructure/config-ntp.xml?style=printable http://linuxreviews.org/howtos/ntp/ http://wwwhome.cs.utwente.nl/~ywlaw/gentoo.html -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.dcglug.org.uk/ http://www.nosoftwarepatents.com/ http://www.linux.codehelp.co.uk/
