I can just about hear music through the crackle (to the extent that I could tell what song is playing if its one I was familiar with. Its very quiet. The speakers themselves, I've turned up the volume until they start hissing a little.Sounds like a problem I had once. It turned out I had the speakers plugged into the wrong hole! Tony
Hmm, could be. But none of the other holes produce any sound at all. I'm tempted to use the onboard sound for linux (which was also detected), but that would really mean getting another set of speakers so I can have sound in Linux and windows. There must be a way of getting this to work... Anton -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
