[LUG] FLOSSIE and Python

Call for papers: Python UK and FLOSSIE
--------------------------------------

This years ACCU conference will have a three-day Python track (see the
event diary below for more information). There has been a
call-for-papers issued; see comp.lang.python on usenet for more details
on how you might send in a paper for consideration (you can find this in
Google Groups; but unfortunately the e-mail address is mangled).

The Free/Libre & Open Source Software In Education (FLOSSIE) conference
is also going to take place again after a successful first year. It's
going to take place in Bolton, and tends to address a less technically
minded audience than other Free Software-related conferences,
specifically about Free Software that can help organisations in
education. AFFS Committee member Ian Lynch is organising the conference,
and would appreciate proposals for talks that would be relevant to this
conference. Submit your proposal and a talk outline to
<ian.lynch@xxxxxxxx> ASAP.
