fictious bounce reports mocked up to look genuine - very confusing
to genuine postmasters as well as spammers.

Mailwasher gets mail information using POP3, and filters it before
download. If you pay per minute this can be useful.

Me I wrote a Perl script to kill obvious viruses when I needed to do
something similar, but I think at least one of the well known
GNU/Linux mail client does this anyway if you want.

Also plenty of mailwasher like little graphics utilities around, a
quick google threw up "SaveMyModem" on the first page
