We followed destructions from the slackintosh site IIRC as regards QUIK
and booting, Matt said he would write it up.

I think you need the kernel in /, and it mustn't be a symbolic link,
along with a myriad of specific firmware setting, and video=ofonly to
avoid something nasty happening to the screen on boot (on the Apple we
were liberating).

Last I remember it was booting from hard disk, but it wasn't fully
automatic - although by then I was distracted figuring out I needed the
monitor patch for my Orinoco driver in order to run airsnort/kismet etc
- - and I'm fairly sure it was only one step away from fully automatic.

The Matt did something horrid with apt once it was all happily
installed, he won't do that again ;)
