While this sounds a good idea, would it be better to arrange another
weekend, when it's not a bank holiday, I know the meeting was not
indented to clash with one, but given the meeting is now cancelled we
may as well just go for a different weekend and perhaps arrange it for a
time when richard can attend. I want to truro last wednesday and for
some reason midweek traffic was really heavy around st austell.
Looks like I may be in Taunton after all, for a pre season rugby game
on that day , between paignton and taunton. This has nothing to do
with the suggestion above.
Either way, don't forget the 28th is still software freedom day, I am
going to copy open office and put a copy with the flyers I have already
printed out. and will give some of these out, I will also burn off a
few copies of the open cd and WinCD 2, (ok this is windows software but
it's open source), I may do the same with knoppix 3.4.
I am in touch with Alan (from paignton cricket club meeting) so will see
if he can help, too. I think they have a game on that day, if not he
may be able to help get a few software cd's given out.

I wonder if I might offer a siilar event on the same weekend:
I, too am in Cornwall near the A30 ( near Launceston)
plenty of space and a broadband connection, I also have
barbequ (sorry can't spell it!) equipment.
However I have never been to a LUG meeting so am a little in
the dark as to what else I need to lay on. With a bit of help
and advice we could possibly rescue this one?
