Rich, I'm sorry to hear the news of your father, having lost 
mine in March I know how these thing must take precedence.

I wonder if I might offer a siilar event on the same weekend: 
I, too am in Cornwall near the A30  ( near Launceston)
plenty of space and a broadband connection, I also have 
barbequ (sorry can't spell it!) equipment.
However I have never been to a LUG meeting so am a little in 
the dark as to what else I need to lay on. With a bit of help
and advice we could possibly rescue this one?

The offer is there if people want it.
