Tried ringing that number on your phone ? Is it busy or is there a
machine answering? Can you listen in and hear if it's dropping carrier
while connecting?

And yes, READ the ppp docs. There is a lot to wade through, but that's
life with PPP. Ugly.

And btw do NOT quote my (or anybody's) whole message in a reply. It's
poor netiquette.
