My vote, do it here, prefix messages "ECDL:" so those not interested can
ignore them. When we have taken groups off this list, then you often
find that is a killer.

I'm happy to review answers, and write footnotes to answers, a bit like
the System Guard one. I think this is an area where footnotes help both
teacher and student, as if there is "more than one way to do it", the
student will grasp the general idea, and hopefully remember one of them,
or the footote will illuminate a general issue or design choice, to
explain the "how did we get into this mess in the first place?" question.
