Re: [LUG] virus marketing, tell everyone you know it doesn't work

Buy a proper modem.

I have 2 other "proper modems" as you put it, just not currently in machines that I
have up and running, including my gateway. Still I can always go and buy another if
you feel that would help.

I find it offensive, so I raised my concerns.

If you find:

Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
Version: 6.0.393 / Virus Database: 223 - Release Date: 30/09/2002

Offensive - I can only conclude that you spend a lot of your time being offended.

Personally I applaud Peter for taking the responsibility to screen his posts to this
mailing list with a up to date virus checker. I only wish I was as conscientious.

Hey, I have a feeling Computer users use this list for advice. I don't
want to see this being exclusive, but it is just to me that I find
Windows related posts are just off topic.

Why is this off topic? Because it a virus checker that runs on Windows? Who's to say
its not detecting and preventing the spread of a Linux virus, or cross platform mail
program exploit?

Justin.
