I just saw something quite amazing today, at a friends place in a rural area, where power supply was dodgy. A device that handled a 2 sec power dip, without even beeping. A device which, when disconnected from power from as long as 5hrs could stay fully operational !!! That device was a notebook/laptop. Much lighter than a UPS too.
