surely not - i have to use MS stuff at work half the time - and one 
thing i do know - the less i see of it the better.

i was taking the rise out of RH cos of course debian does just what i 
hinted at - i.e. if you request to install a package and it requires 
other packages then it will download and install these as well (after 
first asking if that is what you want).  and i know steve uses debian 
for his business customers so he knows how the packaging system works.

surely - it would be a vast improvement to the RPM system if it could do 
the same.  in fact, i think there are some apps for managing your RPMs - 
but i don't think they are free or mainstream,
