Mabs == Marc Flamank ;). I first used unix at cornwall college - on 486s
with a Zilog Z80 server! But of course they had to dumb it down and
replace them with windows machines (so playing networked doom served them
right).

I will contact marc, chas can you contact Roger W, you being liason and
blagging goodies from vendors type, and I'll ask if anyone on squackers,
void, etc fancy doing a talk on how using OSS has made them richer happier
people - also greg (a london perl monger) is organising the YAPC::europe
conference so we can get tips and stuff from him (like how to blag from O
Reilly).

A. I feel much better now that I have sent a mail to computer weekly
giving them what for. Shame their mail server seems to be having problems.
