I find it hard to imagine all three desktops share the same hardware
error so closely that they all fall over at the same stage of booting.
If it's three dead fans then possibly, but I suspect it excludes the
chance it might be a memory failur - it's easy to check both though.
Perhaps you could boot from a live stick unrelated to the Debian family?
There's a live Slackware USB image which comes up in a GUI. If that
stays up you'll have the problem area isolated.
https://slackware.nl/slackware-live/slackware64-current-live/
At that stage you could list the hardware in detail with something akin
to inxi -Fxz

Good Morning All
I have been given 3 ex school RM Computers and I am just starting to
work my way through them. The first one's spec is:
RM Tower 214 with a i5-3550 x 4 and 8gb ram and a 1tb ssd.
I have loaded Ubuntu 24 onto it but after a minute of use it stops
working. It freezes. All I have done is open system settings nothing
else. Is there anything I can do to try to work out why it is freezing
please?
Thanks
