You might look at Structured Communications before you decide.I switched to them from BT three years ago and it's been robust. Support answers in the first minute, emails get attended to when they arrive, it's a different world. One fixed IP address, I can host whatever I choose.

plus.net for cheapness - never really had much of a problem (you can haggle a new
'deal' every 18 months (contract length))

If you want ipv6 though, or 'enterprise' support, Zen or A&A (aa.net.uk), and can
afford 40-60% extra ..

If you want/need TV too - BT or Sky ..
