Did you try these, before sending to your good computer shop?

No, did not look at that. Have just heard from the shop, and it appears that the keyboard has died. It is not one that is available now, and anyway it would be a big job to sort it out. Also, I have checked my records and I see I bought it as a gift for my daughter in July 2012. At more than seven years old I am not prepared to spend much time and/or money on it. And anyway I would like her to have a more modern one, with an SSD for example.

So, I need to replace it for her. So now the search begins. New, refurbished, second-hand?? And, of course, it must be happy to accept Linux as the OS.

I bought this particular one from eBuyer, who seem to be still in business. Then there is pcspecialist, the local shop which sells both new and refurbished ones. And others of course.

Any ideas anyone?
