I got the impression that Windows is going to be free (as in cost) for
the first year then sold as normal.  Anyway

So what do we do,  I think we need to promote the idea of software
freedom, admit it is not perfect. but due to the nature of the GNU
License people are free to contribute and make it better.

So far this thread has said a lot of things that are wrong with
Windows,  and very little positive about GNU / Linux and free software.

I will try and add the link that started this thread to the DCGLUG
blog along with some info surrounding such as what happened to user
freedom / control.,  but try and put a focus on Free as in freedom
software so we promote the alternatives.
