Thanks, but I'm sure we both know where it is, but that is the usability
issue, we have to "know".

If they had printed it on the key somewhere we might have guessed the
extension key.

It *is* printed on my MacBookPro keyboard. The 3 key has 3 symbols on it: 3, Â and #, and the 2 key has 3 symbols on it also: 2, @ and â.
