No! More emotional blackmail! Got you thinking and talking...

What, you think being useful and friendly and helpful is all we want from you? Get your rear down here!

"Hobby"? "Hobby"?! This is jihad!

BTW.... I'm not going. Do as I say, not as I do!

If your NOT even prepared to do that .... what are you doing on this list in the first place?

Er, talking about linux and sharing clue.

I've never claimed to be sociable and the level of help I decide to give to this or any other hobby is rather down to me. Appreciate your passion, but ease up on the emotional blackmail please!

I would like everyone to turn up to SFD to show there solidarity ... I understand that is impractical for many but I do think it also too easy for many others to leave all the work to a dedicated few.

If we do not participate and communicate with a wider public we are in danger of the free software movement stagnating or worse declining into obscurity, that is why I made the comment Advocate or Abdicate.

The more people that turn up and demonstrate something (anything) at the SFD event the more we can demonstrate the diversity and range of free software available to users of all persuasions, artists, musicians, scientists, technicians ... we all know how diverse the range of products available in the package repositories of our favourite distro's but isn't it time we let the public in on this secret. I believe that SFD is the ideal opportunity to do this, so if you can spare the time and come and demonstrate your favourite free software products, I for one would be most grateful.

There I hope what I have just said is interpreted without an ounce of emotional blackmail.

Regards

Tom.
