Now there's an idea, the small form factor, with the linux embedded  
motherboard. Ideal, but as the motherboard is in excess of £300, I  
think i wont be seeing that anytime soon. I agree with Faye, I'm fed  
up with laptops that dual boot as weightlifting equipment. As for the  
solid state storage that seems to be increasing in size every few  
months, so maybe something useable is coming in the near future. I  
love the idea of the instant on access of the Asus Linux motherboard  
too.
