They sell cheap compatible cartridges that have always worked just fine with my Epson printer. For your printer, black cartridges are £2.99 and colour are £3.99 inc VAT and delivery. If you go for a mono laser printer as others have suggested, try and go for a brand who provide a free toner cartridge recycling service (e.g. HP) - you don't get anything out of it, but it costs you nothing and helps save the environment.
