apt is available on other distributions but I am a Debian Developer so
I would naturally consider most issues from a Debian perspective. If
other package managers don't have a function to search the package
descriptions for particular words then that is their problem. It's
easier allround to simply say "apt-cache search" than to wade through
the permutations. After all, you still understood the idea behind the
statement.
