[LUG] Dynamic Domain Hosting Service

http://www.dhs.org

Its a dynamic DNS hosting service, very useful for those on dial-up, who
have a
dynanic IP assigned each time you dial-in.

You are limited to the dyn.dhs.org or y2.net domains, but if you have
people trying to connect to your machine on the net, it makes life a lot
easier. It seems to have support for mail exchangers as well - though
I've not yet tried it.

As for actually using the service, the manual way is to run your browser
and enter your current IP to your host name. The change is instant,
though it may take a few minutes for any DNS servers to update that
already have the name cached. The automactic way is to get a script that
updates it for you, everytime you dialup. There are some scripts on the
net already written to do this for you.

Oh, the other thing, its done in true .org fashion - its free, (As far as
I can tell) though there are some restrictions, on its use.
