[LUG] various proposals

Linux advocates in the US are planning to use win2k release as a publicity
coup for linux with simultaneus installfests, talks and publicity
stunts. We could do this in the s/w and hopefully spread the word in a
nation far too hung up on MS for its own good. send suggestions to the
list and include urls of any related activities that you know of locally.

I am working with Geoff Nicholas at the DPN (Digital Peninsula Network -
www.digitalpeninsula.com) and hope we can get D&C LUG to work with the DPN
project on things like Linux support and information, linux installfests,
and linux certification which could raise funds for both and spread
awareness of D&C LUG.
