Hey, anyone else noticed frequent and recurrent problems with
Ubuntu/Mint etc and the default apt repos at mirrorservice.org recently?
They seem to be borked for the last week at least and time out. My
production boxes and heavily used personal systems all have specially
crafted non-default apt sources configured and continue to work
perfectly but every random still-default VM or box I test is having the
same result. Most of them are on-site so I've already categorically
excluded it being my end, if only it were that simple.
It's easily "fixed" by amending sources to point at the super reliable
German mirror but I'm interested to know if anyone else has noticed
this. It may be mirrors dropping out of sync periodically and may only
be for Bionic but I thought I'd ask before committing time to triage and
fix this unexpected headache.
