Hey I'm only commenting on something you brought up in the first place...
I appreciate you're not the person actually responsible for this strange
state of affairs but I'm still laughing at the idea of:
A: IT being unable to access a computer without the user's password
B: a remote app being so badly managed that it signs users out after two
minutes of inactivity _but_ can still be defeated by mouse jiggling* at
the other end

* in fairness, presuming that mouse movement is one of the factors
you're assessing for user activity before timing them out mouse jiggling
is probably going to be a pretty effective confounding measure
