Re: [LUG] Spreadsheet 'good' practice

I enjoyed that xkcd.

I have a facetious comment of my own, but one that I have applied widely to ensure I do not suffer from spreadsheet frustration: Use somebody else to do it for you.

After my last facetious comment ( http://xkcd.com/1513/ ) for another one!
I have always found spreadsheets like Cornish travel directions: "Ooh you don't want to start from here".
They are a nightmare to manage and in my experience its very hard to apply good software practices to them.
I would like to be corrected but 1/2 hrs googling has only confirmed my fears but just in case - are there any sites which outline possibly useful techniques for managing them?
