Re: [LUG] Firefox tabs

Not tried it yet myself, at work we use Firefox 24 ESR and I'm a little concerned that some of these interface changes might throw them off a bit (or some of the less tech savvy users).

Might install it tonight and have a play.

Has anyone noticed? As recommended I always run any updates that appear

This time they are messing around with the tabs, with reference to the
close button on each tab, which for me appears as a small x at the
right hand end of each tab bar.

The system was that this x appeared on tabs number two and onwards, it
never appeared if there was just the one tab open, empty or not. If I
wanted to close the one and only tab I had to click on the plus sign to
open another empty tab first, which then caused an x to appear on each
one. Then I could close the one I wanted and go back to just one empty
tab, with no x button.

Now an x appears even if there is just the one tab. If I click on that
x, whether the tab is empty or not, it closes firefox down and I am
back at the desk top. This is not what I want at all.

So, has anyone noticed?
