Thanks for that. I followed the instructions only to find that my copy
of the disk utility was too old to work. However, I have a more up to
date version of Xubuntu in VBox and used that. It has the latest
version of Disk utility and it worked fine.

That is the simplest way I have found. So far it looks good.
