There's an article on The Register this evening about a Phillips Smart TV which is reasonably easy to connect to, has the default Wi-Fi password of Miracast or something, once you're connected you can access it's USB ports or control the TV. 

I guess it's a more advanced version of the old TV remote watch :-)

The "battles" between such groups may become a major source of
entertainment. Especially if they render TVs, set top boxes, DVD
players, etc incapable of performing their intended functions
