That's a pretty poor sign for a book. I had to go learn what he was talking about before what he was saying made any sense at all.

I think XP is one of those things that is very difficult to explain. It requires a higher level of understanding of the processes involved than is available to the average software engineer until their late thirties if they are lucky enough to have worked on lots of different projects. Possibly a bit like OOp and RMS the initial response is one of WTF. However given current UK management I cant see many places even being allowed to investigate its efficacy let alone implement it.
