Actually, how the UK and the US did it. Using LinkedIn and Slashdot against Belgacom employees was done by GCHQ.
It's annoyingly simple how it's being done. The only thing is that it doesn't really scale (at least not without your cover being blown) - but in targeted campaigns like this one it's pretty "useful".
