Yes.

I haven't seen any samples - it may well be that no one has, the author is selling it on the black market - but the description makes it sound as if this is more than just a rogue bash script.

Moreover, social engineering is merely suggested as the attack vector, as there aren't known exploit kits targeting Linux. That could be a next step.
