A bit of an oddity with Apache/2.2.16. When trying to access a URL like www.example.com/fooand foo doesn't exist in the main website directory, it looks if foo.gif perhaps exists. That seems a little pointless to me, but more importantly, it takes preference over WordPress using mod_rewrite for URLs like
www.example.com/foo/bar which gives unwanted results.I can't easily find anything in the Apache config files, nor in .htaccess, that could trigger this.
(I haven't tried if it does the same for .jpg, .html etc - I assume it does.)
Any ideas? Martijn.PS I have a new domain, and a new email address. And a new mail server too.
