Great idea. I hope it catches on and that Ubuntu (or another linux) is well placed to take a large chunk of the market.
For all the Ubuntu bashing that goes on (most of which i agree with btw), I always feel that folks tend easily neglect the fact that Ubuntu has taken desktop Linux to more folks then every before (i think!).
