What laptop? If it's genuinely the screen (which bit - actual panel,
inverter, backlight?) and it's an old one, you could probably just
replace it from Ebay for £20. Let me know the exact model, I have access
to a small mountain of dead laptops and you never know, I might just
have the part you need. I can certainly look.
