Macs are based on BSD and use Darwin not Linux :-)

Not to mention the Mac GUI uses Aqua interface which is proprietary. :-)

AFAIK you can run MacOS X in a virtual machine but I also gather it's against the license agreement so probably not the best thing to do if you're running it in a business environment :-)

Wouldn't be so bad if Apple made a version of MacOS available for non-Mac machines, even if they whacked a premium on it (say £100 for the OS rather than £30 for an upgrade).
