Probably off topic but ... My daughter managed to drop her mobile phone the other day. The screen is no longer working properly but otherwise it seems OK. It is an old phone, Nokia, about six years old now. The problem is that all her data are stored in the phone and not on the SIM card. And, of course, it is information that she does not have anywhere else, plus photos. We will get a new phone for her, but meanwhile she is agitating about all the data because, surprise, surprise, there is no back up.[1] The photos cannot be repeated, and the other stuff such as phone numbers are not held elsewhere. Can anyone on the list suggest any way to recover all this please? The data are not encrypted, and not corrupted in any way as far as we know. Possibly the fall did some damage, but we have no way of knowing. Thanks for any help Neil [1] Actually I did save a lot of the photos onto a DVD a while ago, but she has taken a lot more since. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG http://mailman.dclug.org.uk/listinfo/list FAQ: http://www.dcglug.org.uk/listfaq
