This is running an older distro, Mint 9 Xfce, and to my surprise it worked quickly and easily. On my desktop computer which I set up first I had a lot of trouble to get the sound to work. This uses pulseaudio. On the laptop it was easy, I just had to choose the right microphone, but then this uses Alsa for sound. I wonder why it was so easy to set up via Alsa and so difficult via pulseaudio. Anyway they are both working. Now I suppose I will have to get a webcam for the wife!! Sigh.
