I found that pavucontrol was not installed so I have installed it now. When I run it and look at the input devices I see Microphone 1 and 081b Analog Mono. When I speak into the webcam I see a blue line moving along as if it is showing the volume of the input. But I cannot hear anything through the speakers when checking it in guvcview.
