Just to let the list know. I live in Holsworthy and today I had a call
about my computer having problems!! I was ready to have some fun with
it, but unfortunately the caller's accent and English were so bad I
decided not to bother. (It was an overseas call.)

Anyway, it seems that it is still going on. Incidentally I am ex
directory, so they are obviously using a program to work its way through
all the numbers.

Hopefully next time the caller will be easier to understand,

I get about three per week . Usually I ask if they know where I am, they can only identify country so know one has told them area codes they dial, I assume they do not know number as its computer list dialled ,then play along if I have time and eventually say its a BBC Micro I use explaining that it boots from a floppy disc, They do not understand and while they uses VOIP it still wastes their productive time (while I laugh)
Its not VOIP - its cheap lines from abroad - that way BT gets the money and avoids the fines... But if you can waste as much of their time as possible - it still costs them money.
