Further to my previous thread on printers .... When a new printer model comes out from a well known maker such as Epson or HP, how long is it normally before it will work on Linux? I have been looking around the net re printers. All reviews and other info talk about a printer working on Windows and Mac OS's but never a mention of Linux. Yet many of them probably work well under Linux, or will eventually. I am just wondering if it is pointless to consider any printer just on the market.
