was Microsoft server side code.

MS' Frontpage Extensions for Apache were "end-of-life"d some time ago. I don't think it works on Apache2. They didn't produce Linux client-side tools for it. Having Googled quite extensively now there doesn't seem to be even a sniff of a suitable tool.

I've given up the search and set up some new shared linux hosting with good old ftp and ssh access.
